If a file has not extension, you may not know what software can open it. FiletypeID is an auxiliary tool for this, it can identify the file type for any file, even it has not extension. It tells you the result as percentage for each possible type, once know the possible types of a file, you will know which tool(s) can open it.

It is very easy to use, just select the target file and click <Analyze> to get the result!
